Come and join us for a Halloween masquerade ball to benefit the Oakshott Institute.
The event will be held at the Oakshott Institute headquarters, a highly apropos former church in the Como neighborhood of Minneapolis that was built in 1886.
The evening will feature a costume ball, cash bar, appetizers, and the chance to mingle with scholars and enthusiasts of historic European arms and armor. There will also be a demonstration of late medieval longsword techniques and the chance for guests to handle some real swords and other medieval European weapons. Some of the scariest pieces from the Oakeshott Collection of European weaponry spanning 4000 years will also be on display, we will have a DJ, and the place will be hopping!
Tickets are $20 per person at the door, 21+ please.
This event is a fundraiser for the Oakeshott Institute and all proceeds after expenses will go toward funding the mission of the Institute, “to promote interest in ancient arms and armor through a hands on, educational approach”.
This is an invitation-only event, though those invited are welcome to bring a small number of guests with them.
Please RSVP to Nathan Clough at email@example.com.
