"At what age should kids study the Middle Ages?" Children's books are filled with stories about knights, castles, and dragons. These tales, along with popular movies like "Lord of the Rings", captivate a child's imagination and open the door to a wonderful world of history. At Knight for a Day Camp, our curriculum, designed for kids ages 7 to 14, utilizes this natural curiosity to teach about the lives and culture of people in the Middle Ages, using fun, hands-on activities. Campers also learn about heraldry, and the chivalrous codes of noble knights.

For older students, we highly recommend the Medieval Minnesota residential camp run by The Medieval Studies Program at Augsburg College. This program is designed especially for high school students, ages 14 to 17. You can find out more about the camp at: Medieval Minnesota Camp |
