We are happy to announce our first adult smithing event of the year. Come and fulfill the dream.
We will provide you with all of the supplies and the expertise to construct an authentic 14th century shield in the style of the I.33 manuscript.
You will forge out the boss, shape the wood, make the handle, and wrap the edge with a rawhide wrap — all in a historically accurate manner.
Participants will also have the opportunity to view and handle historical artifacts from the Oakeshott Institute collection, including swords, armor, and daggers from the period of the I.33 manuscript.
