The Oakeshott Institute Lectures

You are invited to our August 3rd lecture, we will discuss the evolution of hilt design, including changes in technology and martial techniques. Looking at examples from our collection of swords ranging from a 15th C. knightly arming sword to a 17th C. complex hilted rapier. There will be time for sword handling and questions at the end of the lecture.
