Here are some of the new 3D sword models in our catalog. Our newest addition, a Northern European Bronze Age sword. Two 1796 Light Calvary Sabers, one of which may have been at Waterloo. An ancient bronze mace head with ridged detail, light and fast this would have been a handy weapon. This brings our total group of free models to 18. Even more importantly we have several more on the way. This combined with our work with collectors and other Institutions to bring you even more pieces in the future will certainly lead to an important source for the study of these fantastic objects. You are welcome to support our efforts through donations or becoming a Patreon member and receive extra benefits.
We hope you find the detailed measurements and descriptions helpful in your study of these great objects. We also have some new pieces being worked on using some of the latest techniques of photogrammetry and animation. This allows you to see how a smallsword hilt is assembled or a sword is drawn from its scabbard. The smallsword hilt assembly illustrates period details like the original wooden shims to tighten the grip to the tang, the hollow silver pommel and the wooden grip bound with twisted wire and bands of metal.
